NBA 2K23 The Best Point Guards: Tier List (Season 2)
Tier S Tier A Tier B Tier C Tier D

Tier S

John Wall - Wall is one of the most exciting players in the league, and he'sone of the best players in the NBA 2K23 MyTEAM. His speed and quickness are unmatched, and he can finish at the rim. He's also an excellent defender and can make plays on both ends of the court. Wall came off the bench in Sunday's loss to the Jazz and had 12 points (6-15 FG, 0-4 3P, 0-4 FT), 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 in 28 minutes steal. Wall will be unavailable in back-to-back second halves, which could leave the Clippers particularly short in the backcourt, as it's unclear if Reggie Jackson (knee) will be able to adapt. If Wall and Jackson are both out, Terenceman might see more movement in the backcourt.

Cade Cunningham - Cunningham is a brilliant player who always makes the right play. He's an excellent shooter, and he can also get to the rim and finish. He's also a good rebounder for his position. The second-year point guard posted his third double-double of the season, the second including rebounds. Cunningham is becoming the superstar Detroit considered him when they selected him with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 draft, averaging 21.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.5 3-pointers, and 0.9 in 11 games steals.

Donovan Mitchell - Mitchell is the leader of the Utah Jazz, and they're one of the best teams in the Western Conference. He's averaged over 20 points per game in his first three seasons and is also a good defender. Mitchell was efficient and effective on offense, leading Cleveland with 30 points on just 15 shots.

He went 8-for-11 from 3-point range, the second time he's knocked down eight 3-pointers in a game this season. Disappointingly, Mitchell has contributed little to the supplemental stats in the loss. Still, Mitchell is more focused on scoring than ever this season -- he's averaging a career-high 31.2 points per game and is currently. He was tied for fourth - the best in the league.

Russell Westbrook - Russell Westbrook is a great athlete with excellent speed and quickness. He is a great scorer and passer and is an excellent defender. He is also an excellent rebounder for his position. He's a walking triple-double and can take over a game at any moment. If you're looking for a player that can do it all, then Westbrook is your guy. Although LeBron James missed the game with a foot injury, Westbrook came off the bench again for the Lakers.

The veteran point guard continued to excel in his sixth-man role, ranking second on the team in scoring while leading Los Angeles in assists with five. Perhaps the most promising aspect of Westbrook's revival is his improved shooting ability -- in his three games as a starter, he's shooting just 28.9 percent from the field that Westbrook has made in the past as a backup. In six games, the rate was 41 on 80 shooting (51.3 percent).

Tier A

Derrick Rose - Derrick Rose is one of the best point guards in NBA 2K23 MyTEAM. He's a superstar with great shooting and playmaking ability. His speed and athleticism make him a tough matchup for opposing defenses. Rose is also a great defender. He can shut down opponents' best players. Rose combined for 10 points in the final three games heading into Saturday's matchup, but he beat that in just 14 minutes against Boston.

Gilbert Arenas  - He was a two-time All-Star and averaged over 20 points per game. Arenas was also an excellent shooter, making over 37 percent of his three-pointers. Arenas have been training with the Sharks for two weeks before finalizing a one-year deal worth $700,000. Arenas, who averaged 20.7 points and 5.3 assists in 11 NBA seasons, will try to regain some value in China and shoot again in the NBA, but his days as a star appear to be over.

James Harden - If you're looking for the best player in the NBA 2K23 game, look no further than James Harden of the Houston Rockets. He's an offensive juggernaut and one of the most challenging players to guard. He has elite shooting and finishing abilities and superb playmaking skills. With his signature step-back jumper and ability to get to the rim at will, he's nearly impossible to stop on offense. On defense, he's a tenacious perimeter defender with quick hands and good instincts. He can also provide good help defense when needed. Overall, he's an excellent all-around player and a must-have on any NBA 2K23 team.

Ja Morant - He's an explosive scorer and playmaker who can take over a game. In NBA 2K23 MyTEAM, he's an elite point guard who can score, pass, and rebound at a high level. Then you've come to the right place. This guide will cover everything from his background and career path to his strengths and weaknesses as a player. Tier B

Dejounte Murray - He has three older sisters named Tahirah, Tanisha, and Tamara. His father died when he was four, so his mother raised him and his sisters independently. Murray began playing basketball when he was eight years old, inspired by his older sister Tamara, who played collegiate basketball at Pepperdine University.

Alex Caruso - Caruso didn't score much, but he continued to provide a lot of value on the defensive end. He's known for his high steal rate, but this was his fourth straight game with at least one block. The veteran is averaging 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks per game this season.

Chris Paul - Chris Paul is a 10-time NBA All-Star and the current National Basketball Players Association president. He has been selected to nine All-NBA teams and eight All-Defensive teams. A two-time Olympic gold medalist and a two-time FIBA World Cup gold medalist. Paul was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2011 and helped lead them to six consecutive playoff appearances. Paul was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and attended West Forsyth High School.

Allen Iverson - Arguably one of the most popular and controversial figures in the history of the NBA, Allen Iverson will always be remembered for his fearless play style and immense talent. A true pioneer, Iverson was one of the first small guards to make a significant impact in the league, and he did it with flair and determination. Although he may have only stood at 6'0", Iverson was an unstoppable force on the court. He had a lethal combination of speed and strength that allowed him to blow by defenders with ease. His signature crossover dribble was almost impossible to guard, and he frequently used it to score against much taller opponents. Iverson was also an excellent shooter, capable of hitting difficult shots from anywhere on the court.

Anfernee Simons - Anfernee Simons is one of the best point guards in NBA 2K23 MyTEAM! He has an excellent overall rating of 89 and is an incredible playmaker. His shooting is also top-notch, making him a dangerous offensive threat. On defense, he's not the best, but he's still a solid option.

Tier C

Pete Maravich - Pete Maravich was one of the most entertaining players in the history of the NBA. He was a gifted scorer and passer and could do things with the basketball that few other players could. He was an incredible scorer and playmaker and is still considered one of the best players. He has incredible scoring ability and is also an excellent playmaker. He was a ten-time All-Star and a five-time All-NBA selection. Maravich is a superb option for any team in NBA 2K23.

Jordan Clarkson - Jordan Clarkson is one of the best point guards in NBA 2K23 MyTEAM! He has great shooting and passing abilities and is also an excellent defender. Clarkson dominated Sunday's victory from beyond the arc, making six 3-pointers on nine attempts. Although Clarkson has spent most of his career as the first man on the bench, he has benefited from his presence in the starting lineup. In 11 games, he averaged 17.9 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.6 rebounds.

Damian Lillard - We'll examine his playing style, analyze his strengths and weaknesses, and provide tips on stopping him. Damian Lillard is a 6'3" point guard for the Portland Trail Blazers. He is among the best scorers in the NBA, averaging 26.9 points per game during the 2017-2018 season. He is also an excellent playmaker, averaging 6.6 assists per game. Lillard is an excellent shooter from long-range and inside the three-point line. He has a quick release and is very dangerous when he gets hot. His biggest weakness is that he can be turnover-prone at times, averaging 3.4 turnovers per game during his career.

Kemba Walker - Players like Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, and Kyrie Irving have been All-Stars and MVPs, leading their squads to deep playoff runs. But another point guard class often gets overlooked: the steady floor general who isn't flashy but always seems to make the right play. These players keep the offense humming and put their teammates in a position to succeed. They might not rack up gaudy stats, but they are invaluable to their teams.

Jason Kidd - He was a 10-time All-Star, a nine-time All-NBA selection, and a five-time All-Defensive team member. Kidd also won an Olympic gold medal in 2000. During his 19 seasons in the league, Kidd racked up total career stats of 12,091 points, 8,725 assists, and 6,137 rebounds. He is currently second on the all-time assists list, behind only John Stockton. Kidd also ranks third in three-pointers made (2,343) and is one of only eight players in the history of the NBA with over 12,000 points and 8,000 assists.

Stephen Curry - Few players in the NBA can match Stephen Curry when shooting free throws. He has excellent shooting and dribbling ability and is a very good playmaker. He is also an excellent defender. Curry has shot over 90% from the free throw line in the last five seasons, with his career-high coming in 2016-17 when he shot 92.7%. That percentage ranks him 10th all-time among players with at least 1,000 free throw attempts. His ability to make them under pressure separates Curry from other great shooters. He's hit some of the biggest shots in recent memory, including a game-winning three-pointer in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals.

Sidney Moncrief - Sidney Moncrief's career was unfortunately cut short by injuries. Nevertheless, he could still score great numbers during his ten seasons in the NBA. Moncrief averaged 15.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. In addition, Moncrief was named to the All-NBA First Team twice and the All-NBA Second Team three times.

Let's take a closer look at his skills and what sets him apart from other players in the league. First and foremost, Curry is an incredible shooter. He has a quick release and is deadly accurate from anywhere on the court. Curry also has excellent ball-handling skills and is very quick with his feet. He's a great scorer and a good passer. He's also an excellent defender. He's not the fastest point guard, but he's smart and always makes the right play.

Isiah Thomas - The Detroit Pistons drafted him with the second overall pick in 1981. Thomas quickly became one of the best players in Piston's history, helping them win two NBA championships in 1989 and 1990. Throughout his career, Thomas was recognized as one of the league's best point guards and spent most of his playing time in that position. He led the NBA in assists per game four times and helped lead his team to five straight Eastern Conference Finals appearances from 1988 to 1992.
